Media Kit: Bethlehem’s Children
When we think of Bethlehem, we naturally think of Christmas. Although the Bethlehem of today is very, very different from the town we have in mind from the Christmas story, it is no less interesting.
Children’s Relief Bethlehem has assembled a media kit in the form of a DVD. Entitled “Bethlehem’s Children”, it tells of the Bethlehem of our time in language a child or young person can understand. The contents of the DVD, which is compatible with your PC, Mac or DVD player, are as follows:
- A film, “Child and Star”, featuring a little girl, Mona, who tells what it’s like for a child living in Bethlehem and Jerusalem.
- Varioius TV clips and films about the Caritas Baby Hospital
- Programme materials facilitating use of the films and TV clips in group discussions or lesson units with children and young people.
- Do-it-yourself recipes for hummus and pita bread
- Maps showing the borders of biblical Israel and the Holy Land, as well as the current borders between Israel and Palestine
