A Heart for Bethlehem’s Children

In the Advent and Christmas season for many years now, shiny red chocolate hearts have reminded us of the plight of Bethlehem’s children. This year, too, a group initiative in Sursee, Switzerland, is supporting Children’s Relief Bethlehem through the sale of chocolate hearts.

These shiny, red-wrapped, delicious chocolate hearts can serve as a wonderful Advent decoration or attractive Christmas tree ornament – or as a “tasteful” little gift to friends and colleagues. By buying these chocolate hearts, you will be showing your “heart for Bethlehem”: the net proceeds go to Children’s Relief Bethlehem.

The Hearts

The hearts weigh about ½ oz each and measure approximately 2 × 2 in. They are wrapped in bright red aluminium foil, with a golden ribbon for hanging. These hearts are available in cartons of 45. The price is 45 Swiss francs; the price for a single heart is 1 Swiss Franc.

Ordering

The chocolate hearts are available starting in mid-October from the “Advent Initiative for the Caritas Baby Hospital in Bethlehem, Sursee”. Delivery is around mid-November with invoice enclosed. Unopened cartons may be returned; however, the Sursee Advent Initiative asks that you plan your order carefully so as to avoid unnecessary costs.
